Anagallis monellii

Blue pimpernel is a long-blooming annual producing masses of stunning, electric-blue flowers all season long. These short, bushy plants grow as a clump about 15" across and are perfect for borders or planted in mass in your garden beds. They prefer sunny, dry garden conditions but are also excellent for growing in containers or hanging baskets. It is sometimes referred to as a “Poor Man's Weather Glass” because its flowers open in sunny conditions and close as rain approaches. Height is 6-10" and bloom period is from early summer right up until frost. Easy from seed this variety may self-seed in areas with long growing seasons.
