Acacia 'Golden Mimosa' (300+ Seeds)

Because of their small size, they are very well suited to bonsai. Acacia baileyana (sometimes called Golden Mimosa) has feathery, finely divided leaflets of a soft, medium green color.

Acacias are sometimes called wattles or mimosa and make for great indoor bonsai. They are warm weather evergreen trees and must be wintered indoors in colder climates. Because of their small size, they are very well suited to bonsai. Acacia baileyana (sometimes called Golden Mimosa) has feathery, finely divided leaflets of a soft, medium green color. The slightly rough stems are a rich chocolate brown or grey. The small, yellow, puff-like flowers are very fragrant and appear in clusters in late winter then sporadically after each new flush of growth, providing nearly year-round bloom. In its natural environment these can attain a height of 15-20 feet. These also make wonderful landscape specimens in zones 9-11 or grow them as potted plants in colder zones.
