Lily of the Nile 'Getty White'
Agapanthus africanus

Originating in South Africa, Agapanthus is now grown all over the world for its beautiful flowers. Commonly known as the Lily of the Nile, these tough plants are great for rock gardens, borders, containers, or mass planted. The 'Getty White' variety has large clusters of white flowers on erect 2-4 foot stems that rise above the evergreen foliage. Very attractive to bees, butterflies and birds. Requiring very little care, these grow well in average soil and have no major pest or disease problems. Height is about 2 feet and they can be grown in full sun to partial shade. Hardy to zone 7 and in cooler regions they make an excellent patio plant that can be brought inside as a houseplant during the winter or stored in a cool garage or shed until spring.
