Iceland Poppy
Papaver Nudicaule

Iceland Poppies are short-lived perennials but readily self-seed and come back year after year. They will also bloom first season from seed and many people often grow as annuals. Featuring a wide range of pastel shades and large 3" blooms, they provide lovely color for spring and summer borders. Plants grow from 1 to 3 feet high and 1-2 feet wide. They are also good for cutting and should be picked just as the buds begin to open. These grow best in a well-drained location, and are quite drought tolerant once established. Easy from seed and can be grown in all zones.
